A lot of years are passed since Sofia was in the brotherhood.
She was older,and she grew up as a woman and as an assassin's.
She can't believe how many things happened since she was here.
She can't believe how the time changes people, places.
She can't really believe what she became after all those years of fighting, of killing, of suffering.
And now she is sitting in her room, thinking about everything.
Watching Raul and Dimitri playing in the garden whit her daughter and Lance,her youngest son.
He was an amazing father,an amazing hustbant and a good assassin.
She remember perfectly the day when she met him,when his green eyes stole her her heart making her forget about Nikolay.
her first love.
The father of Aradia and Dimitri.
But also the man who broke her heart.
She remember that in the last period of their relationship everything was so cold.
He was always on missions,and he never had the time to take care of her or his family.
And that was becoming a too heavy situation for her.
She was still in love whit him,but she was hardly recognizing the sweet man who she married once.
And that day,while she was on a mission with Maria she met the man who she has married only one year after she met him.
Sometimes, in the silence of the night she feels guilty.
Because she fell in love with another man while she was still married.
Because she made love whit him.
But when she sees Raul's bright smile,when she hears his voice, everything runs away.
He is one of the most important persons on her life.
But still she think that when the people are young, and when you fall in love at a young age with someone you really hope that your love story will last forever.
And she really hoped that the story with Nikolay was destined to last forever.
But it's over now,and even if she suffered a lot, she is now a better woman.
Love it's always important,and she was really thankful to Nikolay because he gave her Dimitri and Aradia.
The brotherhood it's full of love.
Full of real, sweet and genuine love.
And that was overwhelming.
She always thought that love was only pain and suffering.
But that was only because her mother used to say ''It's better to never fall in love with someone'',but lately she understood why she said so.
She never felt love.
Time also makes things better, stronger...
The sound of Dimitri's laugh and Raul's one make her feel better.
She decides to take a walk around the garden, to breathe in some fresh air.
She sees Maria, her big sister training with some reclutas, and Andros watching over them.
Even if they were older, the time has been gentle whit them.
They were not so different.
Maria was always beautiful, and Andros always fascinating.
She smiled at them, remembering that once, many years ago she had been one of those reclutas.
And it was the best period in her life.
She can hear Andros shouting at the reclutas, but Maria was even worst.
She was yelling all the time, to make the reclutas run faster, climb faster, or fight in a stronger way.
And they seemed to be so afraid of her...for a second Maria turned in her direction, and smiled at her.
Her shining eyes seem to be so happy.
She was another one of the people in this brotherhood who fought for her happiness.
She smiles back to her, and then waves at Andros, like she was a little girl she yell ''Fratelloooneeeee?'' jumping in the same place.
At first he stared at her, but then he smiled, waving back at her.
After that short silent conversation she keep walking, and stop in front of the stables.
Arya, her sweet little sister was there, smiling.
''Sofiaaaa''she said smiling, hugging her.
''Hi darling....what are you doing??????'' she asked,smiling back to her.
''Uh nothing.....taking care of my horse....then I will train a bit and then I will go back to Andrea.''
Sofia giggled ''He can't live without you anymore uh????''.
Arya blushed softly, playing whit her long reddish hair.
''Ahahahahah uh well....and what about you? Why are you here?''.
''Oh i was walking around...i need to think a bit. So wave at Andrea for me...maybe we can drink a tea together later?''.
''Sure....laters, then.''
After another short walk she sit behind a tree,looking to the setting sun. The sky was becoming orange, and everything around her seems to be so relaxed.
It was like the nature was embracing her...she felt a warm sensation inside her heart.
It was stunning...
Sofia was now thinking about how many times she saw the sun setting under that tree, during her permanence in the brotherhood...how many times the wind wiped away her tears, how many times the wind listened to her voice...
She was never alone there.
After some minutes she felt someone behind her...but she knew who was without turning around.
''Why are you sitting here all alone, mi amor???''said Raul, sitting down near her.
''I was thinking...''.
''Thinking about what, if I can ask???''.
''About my life, about love. Everything what happened since I was here. I feel so old sometimes...even if I'm only 26 years old...''.
Raul laughed, giving her the possibility to have a look at his perfect shaped white teeth.
''Oh I feel old too sometimes. But you know...we are assassins...we live millions of lifes a day...the life of the people we kill,
the life of the people we save...but...there is something who always save us from what we do.''
Sofia smiled,''What do you mean?''
''There is always love behind us. We save people because we love liberty, because we love life, because we love justice. Love is the thing that leads us during our life. Always.''
''This is very beautiful...'' she whispered, resting her head upon his shoulder. He was right.
Love is the thing behind everything.
She was surrounded by love because the brotherhood WAS love.
